Blue Flour Bakery

brand identity, packaging, e-commerce website design, photo art direction

THE PROJECT

Blue Flour Bakery was quickly growing and as they prepared to open a second location, they were in need of creating a cohesive experience for their customers. They also looked to build their online presence, having minimal sales online and wanted to grow this area of the business.

THE solution

Owner, Teri Pringle, loved the simplicity of her old logo, but it was coming off dated. The interiors of her cafe were modern and warm, so we wanted to include this in her identity as well. We simplified the logo and identity to a tone on tone blue and created a secondary logo that would allow her to use Blue Flour in multiple places without overwhelming the circle icon.

We partnered with Forrest Clonts Photography to capture new product and lifestyle photography for the website, online shop and promotions, with warm tones and using her signature cafe tables and bench backdrop.

As we started to build out their online presence, our key goal was to share her signature Big Cookie and show the details in each special cookie they created. We made a page solely for the Cookies and Bars to be highlighted, speaking about each taste and ingredient and offering a mouth-watering photo to match.

We found through our research that Blue Flour’s clients were attached deeply to her story and invested in the people at the bakery, so we brought Teri’s story and behind the scenes photography to the forefront.
